Verso: "The importance of the campaign in Kentucky would seem to want no better recognition than the fact that the force in Kentucky now numbers nearly 100,000 men. 6000-8000 sometimes arrive in a single day at Louisville & their reception by the patriotic Kentuckians is always hearty and cordial."
