The timber is large and finely grouped, you can make a fine landscape by throwing a soft shadow over the distance at th gap and the middle hills on the left. Foreground on a high hill 200 feet above valley. // Citizens digging rifle pits & felling small trees for abatis. Tuesday. // Fort. Men working. // Independence Pike // C&L R.R. // Foreground small stumps and dry grass."
