Recto: "No. 1. March from Tipton. // General Fremont taking the lead of his column on the march cheering of the troops 1st days [sic] march. // Staff officers plain military dress. // Gen. Fremont. Bay Horse. // Gen. Asboth, white horse. Sits on horseback as drawn, boot over the whole legs, horse very long neck & legs."
Verso: "Gen Fremont's popularity seems to increase constantly. The troops cheer him whenever he passes and testify [cancelled] signify the utmost confidence in him."

Loss of paper on left corners; horizontal fold; pin marks in upper left.
