Verso: "Battery on the West side of Fort Beauregard separated from the main work with an earth work connection // ramparts // style of gun in Forts Beauregard & Walker - 8-10-11-&12 inch columbians // Fort Beauregard is at present garrisoned by the 79th Regt. N.Y. Highlanders Lieut. Col. Wm. H. Noble commanding // style of guns in the East battery the carrieage are the same as above." Two neatly rendered sketches of guns and batteries.
